Monday, October 19th - Election Day!!

Today is the BIG day for all Canadians - The Federal Election!! Please tune into Global News, CBC, or CTV News to see voting results as they start to roll in around 8pm. Globalnews.ca is also streaming the results live. 

 All Classes: Current Events - WOW Air due October 23rd. 

 Social 9A - we read pages 40-41 about the bill-law process; Bills booklet - complete for Wednesday

 Social 9G- we read pages 38-41 about law making in Canada, including how a bill becomes a law; Bills booklet - complete for Thursday
9G - please bring in your immunization forms ASAP!

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class. LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
