8B LA -  we listened to Chapter 11 and worked on Ch 1-11 questions; your character flipbook; start planning your TIC TAC TOE project (Everything is Due TUESDAY!)

8D LA -  we listened to Chapter 11 and worked on Ch 1-11 questions; your character flipbook; start planning your TIC TAC TOE project (Everything is Due TUESDAY!)

Social 8C -  we read about Leonardo da Vinci and why he is called the Ultimate Renaissance Man; finish activity sheet about da Vinci 

Social 9A - finish your chapter 3 booklet (hand in for bonus marks on Thursday). Chapter 3 Test TOMORROW - STUDY!!
*Bring in Activity Day form and money by TOMORROW!
*Our annual Turkey Drive has started - please bring in donations for families in need this Holiday Season 9A - we have raised 1 Turkey so far! 

Social 8C and 9A - Door-to-door Mail Limbo due December 16th

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you. Remember to study hard, work hard, and be the best that you can be!  Here is the exam schedule one last time:  Final Exams: Monday, June 24th - LA Final Exam Tuesday, June 25th - Math Final Exam  Wednesday, June 26th - Social Final Exam  Thursday, June 27th - Science Final Exam Until we meet again!  Mrs. Woronuk 💜
