TGI... Friday, September 21st

Here's what we did yesterday AND today: 

8A  -  we worked on our personal response to The City of Ember. Please be sure that it is done for Monday! We also took a look at a year long project (Our Worldview Magazine) on Google Classroom.

8G - today we completed a map of the world activity.

9B - we introduced chapter 1 - Governance in Canada. We received our booklets and started to add definitions. We looked at pages 0-2 in our textbook and discussed the 3 branches of the federal government. Be sure page 15 in your booklet is done!
The BC Wild Fire questions are due September 19th!

Important Dates coming up: 
Wedesday, October 3rd - Early Dismissal (2:30pm) and Awards Night (7pm at the Maclab)
Monday, October 8th - No School (Thanksgiving)

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. Wednesday, November 29th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class.
