8B LA -  we read Chapter 2 of The Outsiders today and started our character flipbooks

LA 8 - The Outsiders Flipbook 

8D LA -  we started Chapter 2 of The Outsiders today; work on completing questions for chapters 1 and 2

Social 8C -  complete Venn diagram about artists (p.62-63) and the puzzle piece notes (p.64-68)

Social 9A - research project on historical event - due Thursday (*on Google Classroom): bring in Activity Day form and money by December 15th! 

Social 8C and 9A - Kids in Spain Current Event due December 8th!

All classes - any missing/redo quarter 1 work due Thursday!!!

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class. Wednesday, December 13th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - No class today due to assembly! Please  continue working on the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we listened to chapter 10.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.  Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E   Social  - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Thursday, November 30th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
