Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - Today, we finished watching the film "9" and started working on creating a bumper sticker to showcase a particular mood (feeling) from the movie.

LA 8E - No class today!

Social 9A -Today, we discussed the role of political parties within the government and discussed what a platform is. We started a research project about the 5 main political parties in Canada. We will finish Tuesday! Chapter 8 assessment - May 29th. 

Social 9E -Today, we completed a research project Canada's 5 main political parties and reviewed chapter 8 material. Chapter 8 assessment May 22nd.
Grade 9s - Galaxyland Activity Day (June 1st) permission forms are on Powerschool. Please be sure to fill it out and pay by May 25th to guarantee your spot for this fantastic day!

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st!
