Monday, October 19th - Election Day!!

Today is the BIG day for all Canadians - The Federal Election!! Please tune into Global News, CBC, or CTV News to see voting results as they start to roll in around 8pm. Globalnews.ca is also streaming the results live.

 Social 9A - we read pages 40-41 about the bill-law process; Bills booklet - complete for Wednesday

 Social 9G- we read pages 38-41 about law making in Canada, including how a bill becomes a law; Bills booklet - complete for Thursday

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
