Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - we enjoyed a quiet reading block! 

8E LA  - we read chapter 4 of We All Fall Down and started working on/planning our 100 point projects

9A Social -we continued our discussion about quality of life; be prepared to talk about Jose and Emma's quality of life on Wednesday (Google Classroom)
Hurricane Harvey CE due September 22nd

9E Social - we started working with our textbook by reviewing vocabulary on pages 2 and 3
Celebrating Canada CE due September 22nd

Important Dates coming up - 
Friday, September 29th - Orange Shirt Day
Wednesday, October 4th - FLEX Day/Early Dismissal (2:31)
                                             - Awards Night 7pm MacLab Theatre
Monday, October 9th - Thanksgiving No School

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
