Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - we finished working on our first spelling review unit - please complete if not done!

8E LA  - we finished our journal entry about being resilient and showing perseverance; we started our novel study, We All Fall Down by Eric Walters, and read chapter 1

9A Social - we read pages 6-7 and talked about quality of life; you completed a comparison of Emma and Jose's quality of life; please be sure you have created your vocabulary slides for the year (On Google Classroom)

9E Social - w will continue of quality of life collage tomorrow; Celebrating Canada CE due September 22nd

Important Dates coming up - 
TOMORROW- Conroy Classic (all afternoon) - dress weather appropriate!
September 15th - No School (PD Day)

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st! Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
