Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we continued working on our Figurative Language Superhero Project (on Google Classroom). Due Tuesday.

LA 8E -  Today, we started continued working on our Figurative Language Superhero Project (on Google Classroom). Due Tuesday.

Social 9A - We took a look at the 4 categories of immigration and completed an online immigration test. Please complete pages 1-3 in your booklet if not done yet.
Please remember to be here by 8:15 on Tuesday morning to head to the PARTY Program.
Philippine Volcano CE DUE TUESDAY.

Social 9E - Today, talked about refugees - please be sure to complete pages 1-4 in your chapter 5 booklets.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
