Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we continued working on our Mixed Beasts poetry assignment - it is posted on Google Classroom.

LA 8E -  Today, we worked on planning our Slam Poem - be sure to fill out the planning page (on Google Classroom). We will continue to write in class tomorrow.

Social 9A - Today, we talked about the impact of immigration on the provinces and territories. We specifically looked at the Provincial Nomination Program. Continue to work on your immigration poster (due Friday - on Google Classroom). Chapter 5 assessment Friday!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
