Here's what we did yesterday AND today: 

8A  -  Yesterday, we created an organizer for the chapter 1 focus questions (p.14). Today, we talked about Residential Schools in preparation for Orange Shirt Day tomorrow.

9B - Yesterday, we talked about Current Events. Today, we talked about Residential Schools in preparation for Orange Shirt Day tomorrow.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
