Tuesday, March 5th

Here's what happened today: 

8A Homeroom - please return the CSTAD Survey permission form to Mrs. Woronuk by TOMORROW. *It can also be filled out on Powerschool.

 Social 8A and 8C: Today, we read pages 272-274 and gathered information on Moctezuma and Aztec political systems. We also did a web-quest looking at the different levels of Aztec law. 
Chapter 8 quiz Friday - what we have learned so far. 
Sudan CE due March 11th

Social 8G: Today, we continued looking at chapter 8 which explores the roles of people in Aztec society. We read about Aztec education of commoners and worked on our Codex assignment (due March 12th).

Social 9B: Today, we started working on our Immigration advertisement project. We are creating a brochure, poster or slides presentation showcasing why it would be a good idea to immigrate to Leduc, Alberta, Canada. Due Monday! 
Chapter 5 quiz tomorrow - what we have learned so far!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
