Wednesday, March 6th

Here's what happened today: 

 Social 8A and 8C: Today, we had a class discussion about Aztec laws. We also looked at pages 275-278 (video and ppt) - students completed an activity during this time. 
Chapter 8 quiz Friday - what we have learned so far. 
Sudan CE due March 11th

Social 8G: Today, we looked at how individuals in Aztec society contributed in different ways. We also worked on our Codex assignment (due March 12th).

Social 9B: Today, we had a quick quiz on what we know so far about immigration. We also spent some time working on our immigration advertisements. Due Monday!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
