Thursday, November 30th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend! 

8E LA  - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2!

9A Social -  No class today! Idea/planning for your original political cartoon needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and you are ready for a busy week!  8B and 8C Social - Your Chapter 5 Test is tomorrow!!  Remember to review the vocabulary as well.  *Your new Current Event is due June 4th!  8D and 8G LA - Your poetry projects need to be handed in tomorrow! Be ready to present tomorrow as well!  West Edmonton Mall Fieldtrip is Friday! There are 22 days of school left! Woo hoo! Ponder This:  The more you have of it, the less you see. What is it?

Wednesday, December 13th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - No class today due to assembly! Please  continue working on the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we listened to chapter 10.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.  Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E   Social  - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner.
