TGI... Friday, December 15th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Please  continue working on The Giver chapter questions and the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). 

8E LA  - No class today!  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-11) and your TIC TAC TOE (everything is due Dec 21!).

9A Social - Today we started Chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms. We read pages 88-95 and discussed the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Please make sure that you keep up with the booklet - you should be done questions 1-16.

9E Social - Today, we discussed the 5 sections of rights and freedoms in the Charter (pages 96-98). Make sure you have answered the questions that were handed out (also on Google Classroom).

Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Students are encouraged to bring in what they can to help out people in our very own community.

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st!
