Monday, February 5th

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B - Today, we completed two reading comprehension activities, where we identified the main idea of each reading.

LA 8E -  We started working on grammar unit 10 - verbs. We will finish the unit tomorrow. We also had our free reading block in the library.

Social 9A - Today, we finished chapter 4 by looking at the collective rights of The Metis. We had a review block as well. Canada Launches Complaint CE DUE TOMORROW!

Social 9E - Today, we wrote the chapter 4 assessment. Check Powerschool for your grade soon! Canada Launches Complaint CE DUE TOMORROW!

Important Dates Coming Up: 
Wednesday, February 7th - FLEX Day/Early Dismissal
Thursday-Friday February 8-9 - No school for Teacher's Convention

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
