Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we continued working on our Blackout poem and started working on a poetry analysis booklet. We will finish in class tomorrow.

LA 8E -  Today, we finished up our Slam Poetry analysis and started to generate ideas in the Top Ten List assignment - we will finish in class tomorrow.

Social 9A - Today, we discussed refugees and what the Canadian government does to help out other nations in need. Please finish page 4 in your booklet.
Winter Olympics CE DUE Wednesday, February 28th

Social 9E - Today, you were assigned the immigration poster assignment. Due next Thursday.

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st! Wednesday, November 29th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class.
