Wow! We had a busy week, but now we get to have a fun-filled day at West Edmonton Mall tomorrow! 

8B and 8C Social: your Current Event is due June 4th
         *Next week we will be working on our Chapter 6 WeVideo Project!! 

8D and 8G LA: The Necklace story analysis is due Tuesday and your grammar review is due Thursday. 
         *Avatar Film Study will start Monday!! 

There are 19 school days left! :)

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
