Tuesday, October 2nd

Here's what we did yesterday AND today: 

8A  -  Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about the Silk Road. Today, we watched a documentary about the Silk Road and wrote down 10 interesting facts. 
CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th. 

8C - Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about the Silk Road. Today, we watched a documentary about the Silk Road and wrote down 10 interesting facts.

8G - Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about chapter 1. Today we worked on completing a title page for our Renaissance unit. Due Thursday.
CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th.  

9B - Today, we reviewed the role of the house of commons and talked about what makes a minority and majority government. Please be sure that your booklet notes and assigned questions are done for tomorrow.
Hurricane Florence CE questions are due October 3rd

Important Dates coming up: 
Wednesday, October 3rd - Early Dismissal (2:30pm) and Awards Night (7pm at the Maclab)
Monday, October 8th - No School (Thanksgiving)

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. Wednesday, December 13th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - No class today due to assembly! Please  continue working on the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we listened to chapter 10.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.  Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E   Social  - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Thursday, November 30th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
