Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C- Today, we worked on our Worldview Magazine Project. Be sure to review chapter 3 material for your test on Wednesday. We will review in class tomorrow.
Chapter 3 Assessment: Wednesday, January 23rd. 
Financial Roller-coaster CE due Tuesday, January 22nd

Social 8G - Today, we talked continued talking about European Imperialism, including the terrible costs/impacts of it. Be sure that you are done questions 20-28 in your booklets.

Social 9B - Today, we talked about the history behind the Canadian government and First Naiotns groups signing Numbered Treaties, including to help coordinate the building of a cross country railway. Review page 126 if needed.

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
