Here's what happened today: 

 Social 8A and 8C - Today, we talked current events and watched a video to introduce our next topic of study: European Exploration. 
Recruiting Doctors CE due January 15th

 Social 8G - Today, we talked current events and discussed European means to explore. Be sure that you are done up to question 38 in your booklets.

Social 9B - Today, we talked current events and discussed the internment of Ukrainians, Italians and Japanese during WWI and WWII in Canada. Please review pages 102-103 if needed.

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you. Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
