Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C: Today we talked current events and got our chapter 7 review package. Please complete to help you study for your chapter 7 test. 
Chapter 7 Assessment on Wednesday! 
Pink Shirt Day CE due March 5th

 Social 8G: Today, we wrote our chapter 7 test. Check Powerschool soon for marks. We also got our new current event.

 Social 9B: Today, we talked current events and read pages 162-163 about what immigration is. 
Pink Shirt Day CE due March 5th

Important Dates Coming Up:
March 6th - Early Dismissal
March 15th - ALL TERM 2 ASSIGNMENTS DUE
March 21st - Last Day of Term 2
March 22nd - No School PD Day 
March 25th-29th - NO School Spring Break

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
