Here's what happened today:

8A Homeroom - please return the CSTAD Survey permission form to Mrs. Woronuk as soon as possible.

Social 8A and 8C: Today we were introduced to chapter 8 and started talking about the social structure of Aztec society. Chapter 8 PDF is on Google Classroom.
Pink Shirt Day CE due March 5th

Social 8G: Today, we continued looking at chapter 8 which explores the roles of people in Aztec society. We read about the great marketplace in Tenochtitlan and signs of status in Aztec society.

Social 9B: Today, we completed a formative assessment to check in with what we know so far. We also read pages 169-173 about the points system in Canada and worked on our booklet questions.

Here's what we did today - 8B LA - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas. 8E LA - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. 9A Social - Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Here's what we did today - 8B LA - No class today due to assembly! Please continue working on the two projects for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). 8E LA - Today, we listened to chapter 10. Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks. Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E Social - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend! 8E LA - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders.
