Thursday, February 14... Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C: Today we discussed the influence of other societies the Aztec came into contact with. Be sure to review pages 244-246 if needed. Assigned questions are due Tuesday. 
Venezuela CE due February 15th

Social 8G: Today, we continued to talk about the geography of Mexico. 
Venezuela CE due February 15th

Social 9B: Today, we continued to look at the collective rights of Metis in Canada. Please review pages 156-159 if needed. Chapter 4 Assessment: Thursday, February 21st; Chapter 4 project due February 21st.

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
