Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C: Today we continued to discuss the Aztecs Rise to Power. Be sure to review pages 248-253 if needed. Visual dictionary due for Friday.
Remembering Ron Joyce CE due February 25th.

Social 8G: Today, we continued to look at the importance of religion in the creation of the Aztecs great empire. 
Venezuela CE due February 25th.

Social 9B: Today, we reviewed collective rights for Anglophones, Francophones, and Metis and continued to work on our projects. Chapter 4 Assessment: TOMORROW; Chapter 4 project due TOMORROW!
Remembering Ron Joyce CE due February 25th.

Important Dates Coming Up:
March 6th - Early Dismissal
March 15th - ALL TERM 1 ASSIGNMENTS DUE
March 21st - Last Day of Term 2
March 22nd - No School PD Day 
March 25th-29th - NO School Spring Break

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
