Monday, March 19th

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we continued researching information about the Holocaust for our group slides presentation.

LA 8E -  Today, we started gathering research about the Holocaust for our class slides presentation - we will continue tomorrow! Please make sure your Genius Hour Projects are complete for tomorrow! We present them during block 1!

Social 9A - Today, we looked at two additional case studies - one on job losses and another on labor strikes. We also had a catch up block for all previous work assigned.  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st
*Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st! Check your closet for what we planned in class ;) 

Social 9E - Today, we looked at a case study about the Canadian Film Industry - please make sure you complete the research task on Google Classroom!   Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st

Wednesday, December 13th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - No class today due to assembly! Please  continue working on the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we listened to chapter 10.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.  Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E   Social  - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Thursday, November 30th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
