TGI... Friday, March 2nd

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we started gathering ideas for our Genius Hour projects. We will decide on a final idea Monday and then start researching information.

LA 8E -  Today, we worked on creating a rhyming poem for a fictional Mixed Beast with a partner. Slam Poetry presentations have been pushed to Monday!

Social 9A - Today, we wrote the chapter 5 assessment - marks will be on Powerschool Tuesday. Be sure to share your chapter 5 poster when done!

Wednesday, December 13th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - No class today due to assembly! Please  continue working on the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21).  8E LA   - Today, we listened to chapter 10.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT TOE (everything is due Dec 21!). 9A Social  - No class today due to assembly! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.  Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th 9E   Social  - Today, started talking about chapter 3 - Individual Rights and Freedoms Supreme Court New Addition due December 19th Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Students are encouraged to bring in what they can to help out people in our very own community.  ...

Thursday, November 30th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
