Here's what we did today: 

8A  - Today,  we talked about current events and discussed the influence of writers on spreading ideas during the Renaissance. Please review pages 72-73 if needed and make sure that your graphic organizer is done. 
Chapter 2 Assessment December 10th

8G -  Today, we talked about current events and watched a video about the impact of scientists and mathematicians on spreading Renaissance ideas. Please review pages 69-71 if needed and make sure that your graphic organizer is done.

9B - Today,  we continued working on our political cartoon assignments - on Google Classroom. They will be due on Monday.
Chapter 2 assessment will be on Tuesday, December 4th (we will have a review block on Monday, December 3rd)

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
