Tuesday, November 20th

Here's what we did today: 

8A  - Today,  we continued talking about the influence of artists during the Renaissance. Review pages 62-68 in the textbook if needed. We will work on a project tomorrow. 
Smog in India current event due November 23rd (last CE of Term 1) 

8C -  Today,  we continued talking about the influence of artists during the Renaissance. Review pages 62-68 in the textbook if needed. We will work on a project tomorrow.

 8G - Today, we talked about the influence of artists on spreading ideas during the Renaissance. Please make sure that your organizer has information about 5 different artists completed. Review pages 62-68 if needed.

9B - Today,  we spoke about consequences of the YCJA. We read 4 articles talking about effective it has been. Make sure that your organizer has been completed for tomorrow. We also worked on writing out one "good" question (meaningful and relevant) to ask our guest speaker, Cst. Woronuk, tomorrow. 
Halloween current event due November 20th

Important Dates coming up: 
Term 1 ends November 30th - ALL WORK FROM TERM 1 NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN BY NOVEMBER 23RD IN ORDER TO BE MARKED. 
Wednesday, December 5th - Early Dismissal
Friday, December 7th - PD Day No School

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
