Thursday, November 8th

Here's what we did today: 

8A  - Today,  Miss Lamouche introduced us to chapter 2: how ideas spread during the Renaissance. 
Halloween current event due November 16th

8C -   Today,  Miss Khawaja introduced us to chapter 2: how ideas spread during the Renaissance. 
Halloween current event due November 16th

8G - Today, we talked current events and were introduced to chapter 2: how ideas spread during the Renaissance. 
Halloween current event due November 16th

9B - Today, we worked in small groups and read through some information about the consequences of the YCJA.
Legalization of Marijuana Current Event due November 13th

Important Dates coming up: 
Monday, November 12th - No School: Remembrance Day
Term 1 ends November 30th - ALL WORK FROM TERM 1 NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN BY NOVEMBER 23RD IN ORDER TO BE MARKED.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
