Wednesday, November 14th

Here's what we did today: 

8A  - Today,  you reviewed how ideas spread during the Renaissance and talked about the concept of Humanism. Review page 56 if needed.  
Halloween current event due November 16th

8C -  Today,  we discussed how ideas were quick to spread and talked about the printing press.Please make sure your activity sheet completed from class today. Review pages 52-54 if needed.

8G - Today,  we discussed how ideas spread during the Renaissance, focusing on the invention of the Printing Press. We continued working on our chapter 2 booklets and should be done questions 12-19.

9B - Today,  we talked about the difference between the Criminal Code of Canada and the YCJA (p.64).
Halloween current event due November 20th

Important Dates coming up: 
Term 1 ends November 30th - ALL WORK FROM TERM 1 NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN BY NOVEMBER 23RD IN ORDER TO BE MARKED. 
Wednesday, December 5th - Early Dismissal
Friday, December 7th - PD Day No School

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
