Friday, April 5th

Here's what happened today: 

 Social 8A: Today, we discussed Aztecs and Omens (p. 305-307) and and started looking at the first meeting of Cortes and Moctezuma.

 Social 8C: Today, we looked at the first meeting of Cortes and Moctezuma and the information on who La Malinche was.

Social 8G: Today, we wrote our chapter 9 assessment and finished watching a video about the clashing of the Aztec and Spanish civilizations.

Social 8A, 8C, and 8G - permission forms are on Powerschool for our field trip to the Japanese Cultural Center this month! 

Social 9B: Today, we had LCHS come in and help us with some pre-planning for high school registration.

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we had our free reading block in the library and read chapter 14 of The Giver. Be sure to catch up on the chapter questions over the long weekend!  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 2 of The Outsiders. We continued working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel. Please make sure you have the vocab and questions done for chapters 1 and 2! 9A Social  -   No class today!
