Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A: Today, we talked about why Japan decided to isolate themselves. Review pages 134-135 if needed. Have questions done for Thursday. 
Black Hole CE due May 3rd

Social 8C: Today, we talked about the Edo Era of Great Peace. Review pages 132-133 if needed. Questions are due Thursday. 
Black Hole CE due May 3rd

 Social 8G: Today, we discussed more changes that happened to Spanish and Aztec worldview after the Aztec were conquered. 
Black Hole CE due May 3rd

Social 9B: No class today - you went to NAIT for Junior Achievement.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
