Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C: Today, we finished the timeline of the battles between the Spanish and the Aztecs. Review pages 312-316 if needed.

Social 8G: Today, we talked about Cortes and his desire to find goal and other resources to make himself, and Spain, rich and famous.

Social 8A, 8C, and 8G - permission forms are on Powerschool for our field trip to the Japanese Cultural Center this month! 

Social 9B: Today, we discussed entering the workforce, focusing on interview sample questions and tips. We also spent come time catching up on our booklet questions. REview pages 225-226 if needed.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
