Here's what happened today: 

Social 8A and 8C: Today, we read pages 317-319 about warfare between the Spanish and the Aztecs. Chapter 9 assessment: April 24th.

Social 8G: Today, we learned about weaponry used by the Spanish and the Aztecs during their battles.

Social 8C and 8G - permission forms are on Powerschool for our field trip to the Japanese Cultural Center this month! 

Social 9B: Today, we looked at a case study on unions and their impact on the workforce. Please review pages 229-233 if needed. Chapter 6 Assessment is on Thursday.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Election tonight as we will discuss the results in class tomorrow! Student Vote results will be on CTV during the first 20 minutes of the Alberta election Broadcast which starts at 8pm.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
