TGI... Friday, November 3rd

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today we watched the short film Geri's Game and completed a film map; we also continued to work on our short story poster. We have more class time Monday, so it will be due Tuesday. 

8E LA  - Today we worked on our short story poster activity. It is due Monday. We also started looking at the 6+1 Traits of writing and will continue next week. 

9A Social - we wrote the chapter 1 assessment today.

9E Social - Today we talked about the role of political parties in the government, along with what we can do as active citizens.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
