Thursday, November 9th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we read Chapter 1 of The Giver and continued to work on our Identity collages. 

8E LA  - We worked on Voice in Writing and had our free reading block in the library.  

9A Social - We read pages 60-64 and talked about the differences between the YCJA and the Criminal Code of Canada. Please complete questions up to page 6 in your booklets.

9E Social - Today, we kept working hard on our chapter 1 project. We will have one more class on Thursday - it is due Friday!

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
