Wednesday, November 15th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we read Chapter 3 of The Giver and started the chapter questions (on google Classroom).

8E LA  - We talked about the structure of a good paragraph and the importance of the topic sentence. 

9A Social - We had an entrance card about the YCJA and criminal code (check PowerSchool for mark!) and started working on article reviews. We will continue this on Friday morning. 
Olympics in Korea CE due November 21st

9E Social - Today, read about a case involving a teen and the YCJA. Please complete pages 40-41 in your booklets.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
