Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we read chapter 8 of The Giver and continued to work on the chapter questions. We also had our free reading block in the library.

Thursday/Friday - we are reading chapters 9-11 and continuing to work on the chapter questions. 

8E LA  - Today, we read On the Sidewalk, Bleeding a short story about a young man named Andy who finds himself thinking about his true identity in a dire situation. This is a great introduction to The Outsiders, which we start next week! 

Thursday/Friday - we are completing a booklet for On the Sidewalk, Bleeding and working on a creative activity to showcase our own identity. 

9A Social -  No class today! Please make sure that your paragraphs are done. Maybe spend some time working on your chapter 2 booklets! 
New Delhi Smog due November 29th

Thursday/Friday - we are looking at the effectiveness of YCJA and reading about various people's opinions on it.

9E Social - Today, we talked about the possible consequences youth can face under the YCJA. 
New Delhi Smog due November 29th

Thursday/Friday - we are completing an activity on the effectiveness of the YCJA.

Here's what we did yesterday AND today:  8A   -   Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about the Silk Road. Today, we watched a documentary about the Silk Road and wrote down 10 interesting facts.  CRA Scam Current Event due October 9th.  8C  -  Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about the Silk Road.
