Monday, November 20th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we read chapter 6 and continued to work on the chapter questions. 

8E LA  - Today, we continued to work on our paragraph booklets - we will work on the final drafts tomorrow. We also had our library reading block. 

9A Social - We had Fred Curatolo present information on political cartoons. Check out his website:http://curatolocartoons.com/ 
We also had a review if the YCJA - paragraph describing the possible consequences (p.66-67) and information the courts look at (p.68) due Wednesday!
Olympics in Korea CE due TOMORROW!

9E Social - Today, we completed a review on what the YCJA is and how it relates to youth.

Wednesday, November 29th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class. TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday.
