TGI...Friday, April 27th

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we finished The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. We will start watching the film version Monday. Question booklets will be due Wednesday.

LA 8E - Today, we started watching the film version of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. We are filling out a Venn diagram comparing the book and film versions.  Question booklets are due Monday! The novel assessment will be on Wednesday.

Social 9A - Today, we started talking about social programs in Canada. Be sure to complete the pre-test activity for Tuesday. Is your RANT handed in? If not, please complete it over the weekend and turn in Monday.

Wednesday, May 22nd

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
