Tuesday, April 10th

Here's what we did today: 

LA 8B -  Today, we read chapter 6 of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Please make sure that you are caught up in your questions booklet - you should be caught up to chapter 6. There will be a quiz on chapters 1-6 tomorrow!

LA 8E - Today, we read chapter 6 of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Please make sure that you are caught up in your questions booklet - you should be caught up to chapter 6. We also wrote a quiz on chapters 1-6.

Social 9A - Today, we discussed two more factors in consumerism: jobs and environment. Make sure that you have finished the questions in your chapter booklet.

Social 9E - Today, we discussed the first two factors of consumerism: identity and health/safety. Make sure that you have answered the questions in your chapter booklet.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
