Monday, October 30th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today we worked on the analysis of The Necklace. Please have done for tomorrow. We also had our reading block in the library.

8E LA  - Today we read The Tell-Tale Heart and watched the film version. You now need to make sure all of your analyses are complete and decide which one to hand in for marks on Thursday. 

9A Social - Today we worked on the chapter 1 project.  Important dates: Chapter 1 project due October 31st; Chapter 1 Test on November 3rd. 
California Wildfires CE due TOMORROW!

9E Social - Today we reviewed how a bill becomes a law. We also talked about the role of media in government.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
