TGI... Thursday, October 19th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - today we finished working on The Monkey's Paw analysis and discussed how to fully complete future short story analysis. We also read Zoo 2000 and will complete the analysis next week! 

8E LA  -  we read the short play, The Monkey's Paw - we will complete a short story analysis on Monday. We also had our free reading block in the library. 

9A Social - we completed a quiz on the 3 branches of the federal government. We also started talking about how a bill becomes a law - activity due Monday.

9E Social - we completed a quiz on the executive and legislative branches and started talking about the judicial branch.

Important Dates coming up -

Wednesday, November 8th - FLEX Day/Early Dismissal

TGI... Friday, March 16th

Here's what we did today:  LA 8B  -  Today, we showcased our Genius Hour projects to the class. We completed a self-reflection on how we felt we did. We also started a research assignment (in pairs) for the novel we will start after Spring Break, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. LA 8E -   Today, we had our free reading block in the library and also spent a block working on our Genius Hour assignments. Please make sure they are complete for Tuesday. *You will NOT have class time on Monday. Social 9A  - Today, we completed a formative quiz on economics and started a case study assignment about the Canadian entertainment industry (On Google Classroom - due Monday).  Chapter 6 assessment - Wednesday, March 21st Italy's Election CE due MONDAY!    *Don't forget about Homeroom Wars on March 21st!
