Tuesday, October 24th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - we had our library reading block and then read The Night of the Wolves. We highlighted elements of short story to help us complete our analysis tomorrow. 

8E LA  -  we read Zoo 2000 and started to work on the analysis - we will finish in class tomorrow if needed!  

9A Social - No class today!  Important dates: Chapter 1 project due October 31st; Chapter 1 Test on November 3rd. 
California Wildfires CE due October 31st

9E Social - today we were introduced to the Judicial Branch of the federal government and reviewed how all three branches work together.

Wednesday, October 25th - Parent Teacher conferences 5-8pm
Wednesday, November 1st - No School PD Day
Wednesday, November 8th - FLEX Day/Early Dismissal

Wednesday, November 29th

Here's what we did today -   8B LA   - Today, we wrote a three sentence prediction about what we think will happen in The Giver and started our character poster of Jonas.  8E LA   - Today, we listened to Chapter 1 of The Outsiders. We also started working on the novel study questions and created our character posters that we will work on throughout the novel.  9A Social  -   Today, we started thinking about what topic/issue we will create our political cartoon about. Idea/planning needs to be done for Monday so we can spend time completing it in class.
