Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - we continued to work on our poster for 6 effective reading strategies. 

8E LA  - we had our free reading period in the library today. Make sure your 100 Points project is handed in. 

9A Social - we started our Municipal Election Research - School Trustee research and Mayoral candidate research should be completed.
CE Research due TOMORROW!

9E Social - we started our Municipal Election Research and talked about the role of a school trustee. Research is due tomorrow.

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you. Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
