Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - we worked on our analysis of The Night of the Wolves. 

8E LA  - we completed our analysis of Zoo 2000.  

9A Social - we discussed the relationship between media and the government.  Important dates: Chapter 1 project due October 31st; Chapter 1 Test on November 3rd.

9E Social - today we looked at the importance of having laws in Canada.

Important Dates coming up - 
Wednesday, October 25th - Parent Teacher conferences 5-8pm
Wednesday, November 1st - No School PD Day
Wednesday, November 8th - FLEX Day/Early Dismissal

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE

LAST BLOG of the YEAR!!!

Thank you, everyone, for the incredible year at ELJHS. As most of you know, this is my last year here as I am moving into administration at Ecole Champs Vallee in Beaumont in September.  I wish you all the best, wherever life takes you.
