Tuesday, December 12th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we read chapter 21 and continued working on the three projects we will due for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). 

8E LA  - Today, we listened to chapters 8 and 9.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-7) and your TIC TACT OE (everything is due Dec 21!).

9A Social - No class today! Please check Powerschool for your chapter 2 assessment and political cartoon marks.

9E Social - Today, we had our chapter 2 assessment. Your marks are on Powerschool.

Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Students are encouraged to bring in what they can to help out people in our very own community. 
Important Dates coming up - 
Wednesday, December 13th - Christmas Activity Day forms/payment due (all on Parent Portal)
Friday, December 22nd - Christmas Activity Day :)

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
