Tuesday, December 19th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we finished watching the film version of The Giver and completed an activity comparing it to the book. Please continue working on The Giver chapter questions and the two projects  for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). 

8E LA  - Today, we started watching the film version of The Outsiders! We are completing a Venn Diagram comparing it to the book version. Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-12) and your TIC TAC TOE (everything is due Dec 21!).

9A Social - Today, we continued working on our poster of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (due Thursday). Remember to review the rights and freedoms for your quiz on Thursday. Please make sure that you keep up with the chapter booklet! 
We also talked about current events and chose the top story of 2017 to write about. 

9E Social - Today, we talked about current events and chose our top story of 2017. We will finish our Charter of Rights and Freedoms poster tomorrow and will have a quiz on our individual rights and freedoms on Thursday. 

Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Students are encouraged to bring in what they can to help out people in our very own community.

Here's what we did yesterday AND today:  8A   -   Yesterday, we talked about current events and started a discussion about the Silk Road.
