TGI... Friday, December 8th

Here's what we did today - 

8B LA  - Today, we continued working on the three projects we will due for our TIC TAC TOE (Due Dec 21). We also completed a film map for the Grinch. 

8E LA  - Today, we listened to chapter 5.  Please make sure that you are caught up on your novel study questions (ch. 1-5). We also had our free reading block - some students chose to work on their novel study questions and/or projects. (Due Dec 21)

 9A Social -
We talked about the role of justice advocacy groups and elders in the justice system.

9E Social - Today, we had a study block. Chapter 2 Test is Tuesday, December 12th!

 Seeing as the Christmas Holidays are right around the corner, ELJHS is participating in their annual Turkey Drive fundraiser again this year. $20 buys a family in need a turkey dinner. Students are encouraged to bring in what they can to help out people in our very own community.

Here's what happened today:  Social 8A and 8C:  Today, we read about how Japan responded to all the pressure to open their borders. Please review pages 177-179 if needed.  Social 8G:  Today, we talked about the strict roles in Japanese society, including the samurai code of Bushido.  Social  9B:  Today, we continued watching the documentary film, Sicko, which presents some of the differences between public and private health care systems.  All Students: WEM Activity Day Permission Forms are now on Powerschool. Please fill out ASAP to ensure a spot!  Important Dates Coming Up: Friday, May 31st - Activity Day @ WEM Wednesday, June 5th - Early Dismissal and ALL CE DUE
